Ron is a Saint Lucian artist. In his veins run the rich heritage of a family whose livelihood depended on creating unique, indigenous art. He draws inspiration from the world heritage Pitons –which form the backdrop of his childhood home – the Caribbean sea, the flora and fauna and the tropical, cerulean blue skies.
Ron made a serious commitment to the subject of art at an early age. As his art developed, He participated in a few exhibitions including the 2013, 2014 and 2015 National Visual Arts Exhibition in Saint Lucia. He won the people’s choice award in 2013. As a budding artist, one of his proudest achievements was his artwork being chosen to represent Saint Lucia at the 2013 Carifesta Regional Art exhibition. That same year, when Saint Lucia celebrated its 34th Anniversary of Independence, he received an award for his contribution to the creative arts, and also an Outstanding Youth Award in Visual Arts. In 2018, with the help of TEPA, he had a sold out auction and exhibition at Saint Lucia’s High Commission in the UK.
Ron continues to spare no effort to achieve his goal of becoming a prolific Saint Lucian artist, who seeks to create art that is relatable and inspiring, while conveying a sense of joy to others through his favourite language, painting.
